FlyLady's 31 Day Baby Steps

This has nothing to do with couponing but I am following the fly lady and thought this would be intreasting to post and hope that others out there can use it to.  She has helped me greatly you can check out her page at

Day 1 – Shine Your Sink

Day 2 get up and get dressed to lace-up shoes when you first get up in the morning.

Day 3 Now is the time to start exploring the FlyLady BigTent group

Day 4 Your next thing is to write these things down on a sticky note and post them on your bathroom mirror and above your kitchen sink

Day 5 Are you hearing any nagging, negative voices in your head?. Take a piece of paper and write down what you hear. Then, turn those ugly words around and say something nice to yourself to negate the ugly words that they said. You deserve happiness!

Day 6 Today we are going to learn about Hot Spots

Day 7 Today we are going to add a new habit to our before-bed routine. Tonight, before you hop in bed, I want you to pick out what clothes you are going to wear tomorrow.

Day 8 Today, go find an old three-ring binder and just put some looseleaf paper in it. Then, at the top of one page, write Morning Routine, and on the top of another page, write Before-Bed Routine in pencil.

Day 9 Today, add a five-minute room rescue to your Morning Routine.

Day 10 Today we are going to learn the power of just 15 minutes. (With our Timers)

Day 11 Today we are going to add another page to our Control Journals. We are going to call this our “Inspirational Page”.

Day 12 Today, delete from your inbox all the e-mails from FlyLady

Day 13 Today, find one of Kelly’s missions and go and do it.

Day 15 On our new week of FLYing, you are going to add making your bed to your morning routine.

Day 16 Today, look in your inbox for an e-mail from FlyLady

Day 17 Today, think about what time you are going to bed each night. Set a specific bed time and stick to it.

Day 18 Did you know that we have Eleven Commandments? Read them today.

Day 19 Here is another inspirational testimonial that is the first page of FlyLady’s book, Sink Reflections. Your home can be this, too. You are taking the BabySteps to get you there

Day 20 Include laundry in your morning and evening routines; this makes getting up and getting dressed much easier

Day 21Here is something else on our website. Each day (Monday-Friday) we put up an Ask FlyLady Question, and FlyLady answers it.

Day 22 Have you been procrastinating about building your Control Journal?

Day 23 Make a new page in your Control Journal for your Afternoon Routine.

Day 24 Make sure you add the Swish and Swipe to your Morning Routine.

Day 25 Now go give yourself a gold star for doing your Morning Routine!

Day 26 Today, go look at the bottom of any e-mail you’ve received from the FlyLady BigTent group. Read the first sentence and incorporate it into FLYing!

Day 27 Today, think about what you are fixing for dinner before 6 p.m. rolls around.

Day 28 As part of your routines, remind yourself to eat good food, drink your water, and get your rest.

Day 29Right now, go to the Taking Care of You page and find the Weekly Pamper Mission.

Day 30 Look at your calendar for next month

Day 31 Don’t get bogged down by wanting to know everything about our system.
